Destination Wedding in Alenquer, Portugal | Daniela + Guilherme at Quinta do Rocio

Daniela and Guilherme’s wedding was one of those days that felt meaningful from the very beginning.

Their story already connects different places — Daniela is Colombian and lives in Barcelona, while Guilherme is Portuguese — and their wedding became a beautiful moment where Daniela’s family travelled to Portugal to celebrate together with Guilherme’s family and friends.

The day started with a traditional ceremony in a Portuguese church near the venue, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a heartfelt and emotional moment, simple and intimate, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Quinta do Rocio, a beautiful wedding venue near Lisbon located in the countryside of Alenquer. Hidden among the hills, this historic quinta still feels like a true hidden gem — a place that only a few couples have discovered so far, which made it even more special for us to photograph a wedding there.

From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the atmosphere of the house. The room where Daniela got ready was especially unforgettable, with beautiful hand-painted frescoes covering the walls, creating a space that felt timeless and full of character.

The celebrations then moved outside into the gardens of the quinta. Cocktail hour took place under the shade of tall, old trees, where guests could relax, reconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

As the afternoon slowly turned into evening, everyone gathered again for dinner in the garden near the pool, with the historic building of the quinta creating the most beautiful backdrop. The setting felt incredibly romantic and intimate — long tables outdoors, warm light, laughter and conversations filling the air.

Throughout the evening there were heartfelt speeches, emotional moments and a few tears along the way. These are the moments we always love witnessing and documenting — the ones that feel real, spontaneous and deeply meaningful.

As night fell, the celebration continued with an outdoor dance floor under the open sky. Music, laughter and so much joy as friends and family from Colombia and Portugal came together to celebrate Daniela and Guilherme.
